How To Farm Scrap Brass in Soulframe, Fast and Easy

Not in the scrapyard, sadly

Scrap Brass in Soulframe is one of the most precious materials you need for crafting and upgrading weapons and armor. Like most metals in the game, however, Scrap Brass is a bit hard to come by, especially if you’re playing blindly. But with our guide, you’ll be able to consistently farm Soulframe‘s Scrap Brass to cover your crafting and upgrading needs.

Find Scrap Brass in Glades, Dungeons, & Forts

Scrap Brass primarily comes from two sources out in the open world:

  • Ode Weapon Racks
  • Dendrit Chests (wood chests with a blue flower painted on them)

In my testing and in the game’s current phase of development, weapon racks tend to be easier to find. You’ll come across several Ode Weapon racks with polearms while traversing Glades and Undercities or Soulframe‘s version of dungeons/caves. Usually, if an undercity dungeon or a Glade has Ode presence in it, you can bet that there are weapon racks inside.

Once you find Ode Weapon Racks, simply smash them with your weapon and pick up whatever items drop. Take note that Scrap Brass won’t always drop from these weapon racks, and sometimes you might get Scrap Steel or Scrap Iron.

Some forts also have weapon racks, but if you’re just starting out, tackling forts might be too difficult since they’re swarming with Ode enemies. Later on, you can consider taking forts for your main source of weapon racks, as they usually have more racks compared to Glades or Undercities.

If you choose the route of farming enemies instead of weapon racks, note that Scrap Brass also drops from Bisulcam enemies or the stationary cannons. However, these enemy types are tricky and dangerous to take down.

Alternatively, buy Scrap Brass from Avakot

Avakot thankfully sells Scrap Brass as well, but he moves around depending on which boss you’ve slain. Follow this step-by-step process to gain Avakot as a merchant:

  1. Unlock Orlick in the Nightfold if you haven’t already.
  2. Talk to Orlick, he’ll give you the quest, “Torment Stag.”
  3. Defeat Garren Rood; you can find him using the Spirit Guide while the quest is active.
  4. Avakot will relocate to Oro’s Well, visit him, and you can now purchase materials.

Sadly, Avakot’s stock will periodically rotate, and sometimes Scrap Brass will not be available for purchase.
