As you explore the colorful landscapes of Palia, you’ll find over 80 unique species of fish, but you are unlikely to find one as scary as Bat Ray. Being a cave dweller and probably a very distant relative of bats, this fish loves to jump out of the water, scaring unsuspecting travelers. But it does this only to catch prey. However, despite its frightening appearance, this fish can be an excellent source of income in Palia or a decoration for your home. And we will only tell you where and how to catch it.
Where To Find Bat Ray in Palia
As we said earlier, Bat Ray lives exclusively in Palia cave ponds and is never in external lakes or rivers. Moreover, it lives in both game regions. This allows you to fish no matter where you prefer to spend your time, but there are still not many such places.
More specifically, you can only find Bat Ray in a cave north of Phoenix Falls in Kilima Valley or Pavel Mines in central Bahari Bay. Inside these caves, you will find several ponds, but none gives you more or less chances of finding the desired prey. So choose a pond based on your preferences and focus on the water ripples to get a Quality catch.
How To Catch Bat Ray
Like any cave dweller, Bat Ray is sensitive to light and does not have the best vision. Probably, when hunting, it uses echolocation to find its prey, so there is no need for glowing bait. When casting the fishing rod, choose a regular Worm, and you’ll catch one or more Bat Rays relatively quickly.
It is also worth noting that the cave is always dark, so the time of day does not matter, and you can catch this fish whenever you want. However, this fish is an Uncommon rarity, so you will probably need to spend some time.
How To Use Bat Ray in Palia
Having a very extraordinary appearance and being a rare fish species, the Bat Ray is quite valuable in Palia and can be used in several ways:
- Firstly, you can sell Bat Ray for 75 or 112 Gold if you catch the Quality version.
- Secondly, you can give this fish as a quest item or gift to NPCs such as Zeki, Tau, Reth, Najuma, Kenyatta, Jel, Hassian, Elouisa, and Einar.
- You can also use Bat Ray to cook delicious meals.
- In addition, you can use this fish during the A Date with Destiny quest, which you will receive from Tamala if you decide to develop her romantic line.
- And finally, you can visit Bat Ray in the aquarium as a pet.
Palia is now in Open Beta and will be released on PC and the Nintendo Switch.
