Eventide Island was one of the most stand out sections of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. To get this shrine, players had to give up all of their armor and weapons and contend with a harsh environment filled with enemies. In Tears of the Kingdom, the tropical spot returns but has much different criteria to locate the shrine. Here is how to find the shrine on Eventide Island in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

When you arrive at Eventide Island in Tears of the Kingdom, your equipment will not be taken from you like in Breath of the Wild. Instead, a group of monster pirates has taken over the area. First, you should make your way to a tent on the beach near the Eventide Island Chasm in the northern portion of the island. Talk to Sesami here, and he will tell you about a secret pirate hangout, but he needs the three monster outposts to be taken care of.

The three monster outposts are pretty easy to find on such a small island.

  • The first is directly behind Sesami’s tent
  • The second is in a fortress up the hill to the southwest
  • The third is at the top of Koholit Rock to the southeast

All three outposts are filled with Bokoblins and Moblins, so be ready for a fight. You will see a Monster Forces meter at the top of the screen in each area, letting you know how many are left. Eliminate every monster and move on to the next one.

Once the three outposts have been emptied out, talk to Sesami again, and he will mention how a pirate ship disappeared around the island. Now that the monsters are gone, you can now begin looking for the shrine. If you find it before you clear the outposts, you will be blocked out of the room to get in. Here is how to find the Eventide Island shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Make your way back to the top of Koholit Rock and jump off towards the water on the southeastern side. You will see a large cave system to glide into. Land on the pirate ship and take out all enemies in the area.

When the coast is clear, you can find the Marari-in Shrine at the front of the ship. Grab some of the pirate supplies in the cave here and claim your Light of Blessing to finish the Eventide Island Shrine.
