Some errors can turn you off Palworld very quickly because they are simply meaningless and shouldn’t be there in the first place. One of the most common errors in Palworld these days is “Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x0000008000000040”, which causes your game to crash all the time. If your PC keeps crashing while playing Palworld, this error is likely the cause. Now let’s explain how to fix this error.

The exact cause of this error is unclear, but The Nerd Stash has observed that there could be several reasons for this error. In our opinion, the reason you are getting this error may be related to a new update. Or the location where you quit the Palworld may be causing problems loading the game. But in any case, it is possible to fix this “Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x0000008000000040” error once and for all in Palworld, and there are two ways to do it. If you don’t play Multiplayer, it’s much easier.

  3. Click on “Create New World“.
  4. Create a new character, and go through the cutscene.

  6. Palworld should now be running normally on your PC without crashing.

If you’re not playing Multiplayer with friends, the fix is much, much easier. All you need to do is just change a small setting. Click on the save you are playing and then click on “Change World Settings“. Toggle the Multiplayer option to “Off” and you will no longer get the error.
