There is only one way you can genuinely get a unicorn in The Sims 4. Real unicorns don’t inherently appear in The Sims 4: Horse Ranch, so you’ll have to get creative when trying to get one. While finding one isn’t impossible, you can create a unicorn in The Sims 4 through the Create-a-Sim menu. With the release of the Horse Ranch expansion pack for the game, we gained the ability to generate horse characters in the Create-a-Sim menu, so we can customize them however we want. Keep reading to learn more about how to get a unicorn in The Sims 4.
Creating a Unicorn in the Create-a-Sim Menu in The Sims 4
First, head down to the “Add A Sim” option at the bottom of the Create-a-Sim menu. Select the pawprint icon to add an animal, then the horse icon to create a new horse.
Begin with the breed of the horse by clicking anywhere on its body. There are loads of species to choose from, so take your time! Once you’ve finished picking your horse’s breed, you can edit your horse’s coat color and pattern. Typically when we think of unicorns, we think of bright and vibrant colors, so we chose a mixture of purples and blues.
If you choose the full-body horse icon, you can edit your horse’s body type and hoof color. The next tab below that shows a horse’s head on the icon and allows you to change your horse’s hair. You can choose the style and thickness of the hair on your horse here.
The next icon allows you to change the coat and pattern on your horse. There are loads of different options, including some cool ones. Make sure you look through them before choosing the right look for your unicorn in The Sims 4!
Now, it’s time to turn your horse into a majestic unicorn. Click on the head of your horse to bring up the head-editing menu. Here, you can change the shape of your horse’s head, ears, muzzle, and eyes and add a horn!
Once you’ve created your new unicorn in the CAS menu of The Sims 4, it’s time to take to the horse ranch. Caring for a unicorn is the same as caring for a horse since it’s just a horse with a cosmetic unicorn horn.
