Season 21 of Destiny 2 is live, and with it comes the ability to craft the Last Wish weapons. Along with getting enhanced perks, most of the guns got new perks, many of which can make the weapon extremely powerful. A prime example is the revamped Age Old Bond Auto Rifle. However, some players need clarification on how to acquire this gun properly. So today, it’s time to discuss how to get the Age Old Bond Auto Rifle and determine the God Roll for it in Destiny 2.
For the short and sweet answer, the Age Old Bond Auto Rifle can be earned by completing any encounter in the Last Wish Raid. Unfortunately, this doesn’t narrow down a proper gun acquisition strategy. That said, you can try a few methods to improve your results.
The first method is pretty straightforward, but running a full completion of the Raid and purchasing the gun from Hawthorne with Spoils of Conquest is the easy way to acquire it. You can also earn a curated roll of it by defeating the first boss of the Raid, Kalli.
The second method is more so for the veteran players who Raid frequently and efficiently. Waiting until Last Wish becomes the featured Raid in a given week will make it farmable. This means that no matter how many times you complete each encounter, you will continually earn loot from it, including new drops you didn’t acquire before. Thus, farming an encounter like Kalli will be the fastest way to earn not only the Age Old Bond Auto Rifle but the rest of the Last Wish weapons too.
Age Old Bond Auto Rifle God Roll
In terms of God Rolls, the Age Old Bond was equipped with a new suite of perks to make it a monster in both PvE and PvP activities.
For PvE, the God Roll you should be looking for is Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds.
Repulsor Brace will provide an overshield to the user after defeating a void-debuffed enemy. On the other hand, Destabilizing Rounds will make nearby enemies Volatile when beating a target. This combo is a match made in heaven and is perfect for virtually any Void build in the game. In particular, Titans and Warlocks with Grenade setups will love this weapon.
Finally, for PvP, the God Roll you should be looking for is Dynamic Sway Reduction and Target Lock.
Dynamic Sway Reduction will help control the gun’s recoil the longer the trigger is held. On top of that, with Target Lock, the longer the trigger is held, the more damage the gun will deal to an enemy. Target Lock has become a staple for most weapons in PvP in the current sandbox, and with Dynamic Sway Reduction, this gun will become a Void laser beam.
Overall, the Age Old Bond has become a must-have weapon for nearly all activities in Destiny 2, and by using the methods mentioned above, you can easily shred anything in your path.
