This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

When it comes to getting around in Nightingale, some things are quite a bit more difficult than others and require you to have special tools. One of these situations is traversing the rocky terrain that most Realms feature. It can be challenging to get a decent grip on the steep rocky surfaces at times, and it often results in a pretty painful fall. However, if you can get your hands on the Climbing Picks that Nightingale has to offer and use them, you’ll be in much better shape.

Climbing Picks are pretty easy to craft, as they only require three materials and a Simple Workbench. However, preparing some of the materials can take a bit of time.

  • Simple Climbing Picks
    • 2x Stone Block
    • 1x Wood Bundle
    • 2x Straps

Once you’ve got all the materials handy, head over to a Simple Workbench and put them in. They only take 3 seconds to craft.

How To Use Climbing Picks in Nightingale

It can take quite a while to get used to using Climbing Picks in Nightingale. It took me a few tries to get the hang of it because they are a tad strange to use and drain your stamina quite quickly if you do it wrong.

First, you’ll need to have the Climbing Picks equipped in your hot bar. This can easily be done by opening up your Inventory using the I button on your keyboard and then clicking and dragging the crafted Climbing Picks down into the hot bar.

Once they’re equipped, they should be used on rocky surfaces, so make your way to a cliff face or something similar. Now, jump, then click the left mouse button to put your picks into the rocky surface. Now, move forward to climb up after releasing the mouse button. As long as you have the stamina, rock climbing will make new areas accessible and might even grant you shortcuts between areas with varying verticality.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
