If you want to hold on to the only visible light in the midst of so much darkness, you’d better learn how to get and use Poes in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This time, they won’t be menacing ghosts. Instead, the Poes are key items that you must collect. And although it’s pretty scary down in the Depths, the more souls you collect, the more benefits you will have. But don’t worry, collecting them won’t be difficult since these adorable little fires have no personality and won’t move from where they are. So keep reading this guide to know what to do when you have a handful of Poes in your inventory.

It won’t be easy to spot shiny spirits on the surface or in the sky. So, instead, you will find these little souls in the Depths of Hyrule. If you see one, don’t hesitate to collect it.

In Tears of the Kingdom, you will notice different types of Poes:

  • The smaller ones are the most common Poes to find. They are usually in groups of 5-10
  • The Large Poes of green and blue light are more significant than the normal Poes. They have a value of 5 normal Poes.
  • Finally, there is the Grand Poes, reddish pink in color. These have a value of 20 Poes in their trade.

How to Use Poes in Tears of the Kingdom

Trade them in the Bargainer Statue that you can find in the following locations:

  • Great Abandoned Central Mine: To unlock this statue located on the first floor of the large abandoned mine, you must first complete the quest “A Call from the Deep.”
  • Lookout Landing Bargainer Statue: In this statue, you can get the same items as in the other statues.
  • Wellspring Of Courage Bargainer Statue: This statue is at the Spring of Courage. It is located near the Muokuij Root of Light and the Construction Factory.
  • Cliff Bargainer Statue: This statue of the Bargainer is quite challenging to reach. It is located where the chasms open in the ceiling of the depths. Unlock this statue to exchange your Tears of the Kingdom Poes for some cool rewards.
  • Plains Bargainer Statue: It is near the root of the light of Stakijat. Below the Tajikat Shrine in Hyrule Field is the easily accessible Lightroot.
  • Wellspring Of Wisdom Bargainer Statue: The exact location of this statue is in the Wellspring of Wisdom near Lanayru Canyon Mine. The nearest accessible Lightroot is the Usukaz Lightroot.
  • Wellspring Of Power Bargainer Statue: This Bargainer Statue is located inside Wellspring of Power. You have a Lightroot near this area where you can get there. It is the Akinatanis Lightroot under the Sinatanika Shrine.

The Bargainer Statue is used to send souls to the afterlife. These statues are like a store where you can exchange your Tears of the Kingdom Poes with any available item.

Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
