Want to know how to get Aspect of the Protector in Diablo 4? Regardless of the class you choose, creating the perfect build is an essential step in developing your character. Of course, equipment and skills form the basis of any character build, but unique aspects will help to compensate for all your shortcomings. So, if you’re looking for the best protection aspect, Aspect of the Protector is the way to go. Using this aspect when fighting Elite enemies, you can get a powerful shield. And if that’s what you’re looking for, we’re here to show you how to get Aspect of the Protector in Diablo 4.

How To Find Aspect of the Protector in Diablo 4

As we said earlier, Aspect of the Protector is a legendary defensive-type aspect available to all classes. And you can put it on 1H and 2H Weapons, Gloves, Rings, and Amulets. With Aspect of the Protector, damaging an Elite enemy grants you a Barrier absorbing up to [X] damage for 10 seconds. But the limitation is that the effect can only happen once every 30 seconds. It is worth noting that this aspect is best used in the end game, as Elite enemies are rare in the early stages.

At the same time, World Tier 3 and 4 are full of Elites, and the player’s damage is high enough to create a powerful shield. However, that’s why Aspect of the Protector is a permanent aspect in endgame builds like Vampire Necromancer, Blightmaster Necromancer, or Lightning Sorceress. And fortunately, there are two ways to get Aspect of the Protector in Diablo 4:

  • First, you can unlock this aspect in your Codex of Power by completing the Lost Archives dungeon.
  • Secondly, extract this aspect from legendary items by visiting the NPC Occultist.

If you want to use the first way, you should head to the central part of the Sanctuary in the Desolate Highlands area in the Fractured Peaks region. Go to the southernmost point of the location, and you will find the entrance to the Lost Archives dungeon. Completing this challenge will automatically unlock the Aspect of the Protector in your Codex of Power. And you can imprint this aspect on your items of equipment as many times as you need.

The second method depends entirely on your luck and perseverance but does not require special preparation and is available quite early. You only need to find the legendary item with Aspect of the Protector and visit the NPC Occultist. For a small fee, Occultist will extract the aspect and imprint it into your gear. But unlike the Codex of Power, this method is one-time. So you’ll have to find a new legendary item to imprint the aspect onto another piece of equipment. In addition, the legendary item that contained the Aspect of the Protector originally will be destroyed during the extraction process.

As for the legendary items, you can get them for almost any in-game activity, and here are some of them:

  • Battle with World Bosses
  • All Events
  • PVP
  • Exploring the Dungeons
  • Trade with Purveyor of Curiosities

Diablo 4 is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
