Become a master of Zelda’s Tears of the Kingdom by learning to obtain Captain Construct Horns. Our guide will show you how to slay these tricky foes and claim their powerful horns. Having these in the back pocket can prove a big boon later in the game; the sharp, blade-like horns can be seamlessly integrated with most melee weapons, even the lowly stick, elevating their potency and transforming them into a weapon of formidable power. Here’s how to get Captain Construct Horns in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Acquiring the esteemed Captain Construct Horns in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is a breeze. Simply vanquish those robotic fiends known as Captain Constructs, who conveniently pop up in nearly every important area of the Sky Islands you explore.

If you chance upon a Captain Construct or two, don’t worry. To beat them in combat, you’ll just have to send some arrows their way or hit them with your hardest weapons. Look around your environment and see if there’s anything you can fuse with your weapons, like Fire Emitters. It would be best if you used tactics such as flinging weapons from a safe distance or perhaps utilizing the art of stealth to creep up on your unsuspecting foes.

Still, you’ll need to be careful. Captain Constructs are much smarter than their weaker counterparts, Soldier Constructs. They can also fuse their weapons with the devices available in the environment. We had one roast us with a Fire Emitter!

Though these fellows should be an easy challenge, you’ll be fine as long as you’re quick on your feet. It’ll only take a few swift swipes of your weapon and they’ll come tumbling down. Make sure you parry and flurry flush your way to victory whenever possible during your encounters with Captain Constructs.

When you take them down, you’ll get Captain Construct Horns, as well as other rewards. They are much longer — and arguably cooler — than regular Soldier Construct Horns. And note that this item is always dropped in unison with their destruction, rendering them effortless to accumulate, especially considering these constructs tend to operate in packs of 1-2 units.

There are two possible uses for Captain Horns.

Like with Soldier Horns, you can use them in the Device Dispensers. Some of the device zones offered are Flame Emitter, Fan, and Portable Pot. Or, if you’re already stocked up on Zonai Devices and need a pick-me-up in the weaponry department, why not fuse it with your current weapon?

To fuse a Captain Construct Horn with your weapon, simply place it in the world, activate your Fuse ability, and select the weapon you have equipped.

To offer Captain Construct Hornsto the Device Dispenser and get more Zonai Devices, follow these steps:

  1. Find the Device dispenser closest to you. In front of it, you will see that there is a kind of pot similar to the Cooking Pot.
  2. To use the Captain Construct Horns, you must enter the inventory and go to the materials section, looking for the Captain Construct Horns.
  3. Then press the A key, and in the hold option, you can take from 1 to 5 of these horns. The more you deposit, the more rewards you will get.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
