Carved Wood doesn’t matter when you’re first starting your journey through Nightingale, but it will once your crafting needs grow more ambitious. Sticks and Lumber suffice early in the game, but Tier-2 crafting stations such as the Refined Sewing Bench, Refined Enchanter’s Focus, and Refined Workbench require Carved Wood to build. Getting access to those stations allows you to massively improve your armor, enchanting, and tool-making, which is as important here as it is in Enshrouded and other survival-crafting games. Here’s how to get Carved Wood in Nightingale.
Carved Wood Nightingale Guide
To craft Carved Wood you’ll need a Refined Saw Table, a Tier-2 upgrade over the ordinary saw table. You can purchase the recipe for this crafting station from Essence Traders in Provisioner Realms using Tier-1 Essence, so make sure you have a bit saved. Getting refined materials like Carved Wood is a key part of Nightingale‘s gameplay loop, allowing you to build improved crafting stations and unlock better gear. To craft the refined version of this saw, here are the resources you’ll need:
- Lumber x4 (crafted at the Simple Saw Table)
- Blade x2 (crafted at the Brazier)
- Mechanical Gears x2 (crafted at the Brazier)
Once you have a Refined Saw Table, you can craft Carved Wood using Lumber 4x. Thankfully, Lumber only requires Wood Bundle x2 to craft, and you can get that by chopping down a single tree. Once you have the Lumber you need, return to the Refined Saw Table to craft the Carved Wood. This refined crafting material has the following Attribute Multipliers:
- Blocking Efficiency: 15%
- Durability: 15%
- Fuel Duration: 10%
To summarize, here are the steps you need to follow to get Carved Wood in Nightingale:
- Craft a Refined Saw Table
- Craft or buy Lumber x4
- Craft Carved Wood at the Refined Saw Table
Nightingale is available for PC in early access.
