This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Flash Cannon is a Steel-type Move in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that can be crafted once Trainers discover its corresponding Technical Machine recipe, TM 093. This offensive ability deals a solid amount of single-target damage with a slight chance to temporarily debuff an opponent’s Special Defense. If the debuff is applied, Flash Cannon serves as an excellent opening Move for pocket monsters with Special Attacks capable of countering Water- and Flying-type foes. On the other hand, Trainers should avoid using this Steel-type ability on Grass-, Dragon-, and Ground-type opponents, as its effectiveness will be reduced or nullified.

Flash Cannon TM Location in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Similar to the Poison Jab TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Trainers can earn Flash Cannon’s TM 093 by defeating a Team Star Crew, namely Team Star Fairy in North Paldea. Alternatively, players can encounter the TM 093 recipe much earlier on their journey while exploring South Province (Area Three).

As demonstrated via gameplay by YouTuber GameLoc, the Flash Cannon TM can be found atop a hill just outside the East Gate of Mesagoza in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. After exiting the city, players must follow the main eastern trail leading to the South Province (Area Three) Pokécenter. After passing by a pack of Shinx pocket monsters, Trainers should take the cliffside pathway on the right and go up the winding trail. Once players make it to the top of the hill, they will find the TM recipe near the edge.

Trainers can craft the Flash Cannon TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet by using the following materials:

  • 8,000 League Points
  • Klefki Key ×3
  • Varoom Fume ×3
  • Tinkatink Hair ×3

Klefki is a rare Key Ring Pokémon that can be found in the grassy fields near Alfornada, a town in Southwest Paldea. The best location to look for Varoom would be the badlands of East Province (Area Three). Finally, Trainers can encounter Tinkatink around the ruins of the South Province, such as the ruin northeast of Cortondo. Once players have gathered all the resources and points, they can visit a Pokécenter’s TM Machine to craft the Flash Cannon TM.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch.
