Pals serve a variety of functions in Palworld, from fighting and helping out around base to carrying you on their backs. You might not be able to fly around on Digtoise, but this rock turtle is a fierce ally in battle. Digtoise is arguably even more useful when you put it to work in your mining operation. That’s thanks to a unique spin ability that allows it to bore through rocks in no time. When you’re just starting out, Ore farming can be tedious in Palworld because of how many Ingots you need. This Pal makes the process far faster and easier. Here are the best locations to get Digtoise in Palworld.

One of the best locations to find Digtoise in Palworld is the desert east of the Sealed Realm of the Winged Tyrant. It’s relatively close to the starting area and located near the center of the map. That makes it a great choice for Digtoise-hunting whether you just started the game or have already moved your base to a new location after catching some good early-game Pals. Unlike some smaller Pals, Digtoise is easy to spot thanks to its size. If you’re on the lookout for this earthy turtle, use a flying mount. The bird’s-eye view it provides will help you find it fast.

Another good Palworld location to get Digtoise is the large island located west of the No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary in the northeastern corner of the map. Again, a flying mount is ideal for scouting this location as you can search much faster than you can by foot. Once you’ve located Digtoise, you’ll want a Grass-type Pal to take down this Ground-type beast. Like other Ground Pals, Digtoise is strong against Electric-types, so leave your Sparkits and Jolthogs at home. Once you’ve snared a Digtoise, your mining operation will hit the next level thanks to this Pal’s Level 3 Mining Suitability and Drill Crusher spin.

Palworld is available for PC in early access.
