Dredge is an amazing indie fishing game that was released recently. It received generally positive reviews from critics and fans as well. Players who like simple but great games have already started their journey in Dredge. Explosives are among the most important items in the game, and here is how to get them and clear Rocks in Dredge.

How to Get Explosives and Clear Rocks in DREDGE

In Dredge, you will need items to progress through the game and access locked areas. One of those items is Explosives. The main use of Explosives is to clear heavy rocks that have locked access to many areas of the game.

To get the Explosives, you have to complete a quest that can be tricky and long as well. Once you’ve completed that quest, you will be awarded some Explosives and afterward be able to buy them from vendors.

The quest is called Hermitage, and to start the quest, you must travel to Gale Cliffs, which is located in the Southeast of the starting area. In there, you have to talk Retired Whaler in Ingfell. Afterward, go to the Ruins so you can talk to Hermit.

Here you will start the quest in which you have to get the Family Crest so the Hermit can see his brother. Now you go to the open bay in the center of Gale Cliffs. A string of rocks currently blocks the straightforward way. So you have to go around the island to the nameless dock at the south.

As you continue your journey this way, you will see the golden glow, which indicates the location of the Crest. Go near the glow and dredge it to get the Family Crest. Make sure you get it quickly and get out of there because that is a dangerous area.

Then travel back to Ingfall, where you have to meet Whaler once again. Once you go there, show him the Family Crest. After that, he will ask you to blow up the string of rocks that were blocking the way at the start of the quest.

You don’t need explosives at the time since they have already been set up for you, and you need to just light them up. This time take the North and interact with the explosives to start the demolition. Then once again, meet Whaler and afterward fetch the Hermit.

Once you’ve fetched the Hermit, the quest will be done, and Whaler will award you with some Explosives. Afterward, you can buy explosives from different merchants in the game. Then you can select the explosives from your inventory near any rocks you want to blow up to clear the path for yourself.

Dredge is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
