Fire Fruit will be one of your first fruits in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. They imbue your arrows with fire and also serve as great cooking ingredients for food. They are not difficult ingredients to find, but it’s easy to confuse them for another item or miss them entirely. You find them just like Shock Fruits, though they are more common throughout Hyrule. Pick them up and use them against enemies vulnerable to fire, or eat them yourself. However you want to use them, this is how you get Fire Fruit in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Finding Fire Fruit in Tears of the Kingdom

Fire Fruit are found in plants with yellow leaves, and they often come in groups of three. They look like Spicy Pepper from a distance and it’s easy to confuse the two if you are far away. But as you get close and inspect the plant carefully, it is obvious that it is a Fire Fruit. These plants are all over Hyrule except for locations with cold climates. Central Hyrule and Eldin Canyon have several plants that you can harvest. They also exist in the southeast, where Kakariko Village and Hateno Village are located.

These fruits can be used immediately, either for emergency healing or imbuing your weapons with fire. Fiery weapons are effective against enemies like Evermean, whose wooden structure is vulnerable to fire. With three fruits per plant, you won’t run out after a single use. These plants are common enough that it’s not unusual to have 20-40 sitting in your inventory at a time. Fire Fruits make great cooking ingredients as well, enhancing your performance before battle.

If you run low on Fire Fruits, spend some time in the previously mentioned areas to get more. There are usually other nearby plants that you can harvest, giving you a hefty amount for any upcoming battles. You should have enough to use for combat and as cooking ingredients if you like. Now that you know how to gather more, it shouldn’t be difficult to get the amounts that you need. They are also easier to find than other fruits, making it hard to run low. Just make sure you keep a close eye out because confusing them for a Spicy Pepper is not fun for anyone.
