Zelda Tears of the Kingdomย has a huge variety of plants and creatures that can be used in various recipes, armor upgrades, or simply eaten to restore a little HP. Exploring the Depths, you may encounter a lack of light, and the solution to this problem is the fish that swim there. To help you with your travels underground, we have prepared a guide on how to get Glowing Cave Fish in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The Glowing Cave Fish does not have very strong properties and restores HP like a cooked mushroom, so it will not be very useful on the surface and in the sky. But in Hyrule Depths, it can be helpful in its ability to give light.

Usually, you can find Glowing Cave Fish in the caves and at the bottom of wells. One of the places where you will definitely find several of these fish is the Mabe Village Ruins Well (-0071, -0160, 0024). Although there are other places where you can discover Glowing Cave Fish, the Mabe Village Ruins Well is the easiest to get to, and you know you will find them there. Once you reach this location, you will need to do the following to catch them:

  1. Jump into the well, and you should immediately notice four fish swimming around.
  2. To catch them, slowly approach them without scaring them away.
  3. Once you are close enough, click A. (Please note that sometimes they can swim too deep, so you won’t be able to get them, but if you wait a bit, the fish will come back.)

Another way to catch Glowing Cave Fish is to shoot them with arrows or throw a cannonball. You can also use Yellow Chuchu Jelly to electrify the water and kill all the fish nearby.

Catching Glowing Cave Fish in Zelda Tears of the Kingdomย is very easy, especially considering that they glow.

How To Use Glowing Cave Fish

You don’t have many options for using Glowing Cave Fish. If you eat it raw, you will restore one heart. And if you cook it or add it to a dish, it can restore additional hearts. The peculiarity of this fish is that the dishes with it glow, and when Link eats such a dish, he will glow for a while, which can help in the caves.

We hope the information about Glowing Cave Fish helps you catch them and understand their usefulness. With their help, you should no longer encounter the lack of light in the caves.

The Zelda Tears of the Kingdomย is available on Nintendo Switch.
