This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

The Legate’s Ring is a piece of equippable Jewelry in New World that melee users should undoubtedly consider adding to their gear loadout. First, it offers around 5% more Slash Damage, a massive increase for adventurers who main the Battleaxe or Greatsword. Next, it also provides approximately 5% Leeching, granting players a small amount of HP restoration based on the total damage from a strike. Of course, some might argue that 5% for a Slash Damage and Leeching buff are significant, but these percentages have a considerable impact over time. Finally, this Jewelry piece in New World offers an 11% Critical Chance from its Keen Awareness Perk.

Finding the Legate’s Ring in New World

Legate's Ring Drop Location in New World

The Legate’s Ring in New World is not craftable and can only be obtained from an uncommon mob drop. As of October 2022, the only enemy that drops this Jewelry is Primus Falco, a Level 62 Corrupted Legion warrior located in Crassus’s Rise. This Landmark can be found southeast of Brimstone Sands and accessed from the Deadwater Way Shrine.

The best way to defeat Primus Falco is by taking advantage of his weaknesses: Arcane, Thrust, and Nature. More specifically, this elite enemy mob in New World takes 30% more damage from Arcane and 20% more from Thrust. He is only slightly weak to Nature, receiving only 15% more damage from weaponry or abilities. Therefore, players looking to farm this enemy for the Legate’s Ring in New World are highly encouraged to wield weapons or abilities that offer Arcane, Thrust, or Nature. Alternatively, having a member or two in a party with one of these is also effective.

According to YouTube content creator TOWNBOARD ENJOYER, Primus Falco respawns every four minutes, meaning that the wait time between kills is not very long. Accordingly, it might be possible to find a group of random adventurers waiting at the spot, ready to slay Primus Falco upon spawn. If this is the case, players should be sure to land a strike or communicate with the group, letting them know that they also wish to farm for the Legate’s Ring in New World. Building a Respawn Point and eating food before the battle are also recommended for potential problems that may occur during the farming process.

New World is available on PC.
