Getting Fodder in Story of Season A Wonderful Life is an important part of raising livestock. Living on a Farm isn’t just about growing crops, but keeping livestock healthy and happy as well. This dried grass can be used to feed your Cows when they cannot graze outside of the Barn. While the game starts you off with free some free stuff, obviously you will have to make more eventually. When you start a new game, your Farm will come with free 30 Fodder that you can use. But once it runs out, you will need to get more, otherwise, you can’t feed your Cows and they will starve. There are two ways to get more Fodder in Story of Season A Wonderful Life, by purchasing them or making them yourself.

To purchase a bag of Fodder, interact with the blue ledger next to the Shipping Box. Pick the Order Feed option. A normal Fodder costs 20G and the Fodder+ will set you back 50G. Do keep in mind that it takes one in-game day for the Fodder to be shipped to your Farm.

For the other option, you can get more Fodder in Story of Season A Wonderful Life by simply cutting grass that grows around your Farm. All you need to do is mow down any tall grass you see using the Sickle and they will instantly turn into Fodder. Afterward, just store them in the Barn Silo for future use.

Tall grass will grow over time albeit quite slowly, it takes around eight days for them to fully grow. But there’s no Fodder material yet, you can speed their growth in Story of Season A Wonderful Life by using Fertilizer on the pasture. A bag of Fertilizer can be bought at Vesta’s Farm for 20G. Having a stock of tall grass is a good way to keep your Farm animals well-fed. If it’s a sunny day, let the livestock out of the Barn and feed on the grass. And if it’s raining, cut some of the grass down and use it as Fodder. For that reason, you will want to keep at least 10 to 15 bags at all times.

To feed your Cows and other livestock Story of Season A Wonderful Life, you need to put the Fodder into the troughs. Take the Fodder from the Barn Silo and equip it. Then bring it to a feed trough, the wooden boxes inside the Barn, and interact with it. Each livestock, whether it’s a Cow, Sheep, or Horse, has its own designated through. You’ll want to put two Fodder in each through too, so they can eat twice per day in the morning and evening.
