Do you want to know how to get Naydra’s Scale in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom? Hyrule skies aren’t left unattended. The four dragons from Zelda Breath of the Wild have returned and are patrolling the skies. Now, these dragons drop a few rare materials when attacked and killed. One of the dragons, Naydra, the ice dragon, drops several items, including Naydra’s Scale, which can later be sold or used as a weapon buff with Link’s Fuse ability. This guide will show you how to get Naydra’s Scale in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Before getting Naydra’s Scale in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you first need to find Naydra. The ice dragon emerges from the Naydra Snowfield Chasm (coordinates 3537, -1369, 0209) and then flies its way around Mount Lanayru and Hateno Village.

How to Obtain Naydra’s Scale

You will need to use Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower to get Naydra’s Scale. Naydra goes up early in the morning, so make sure you are there at the right time of the day. Jump on the ice dragon as soon as it emerges. You will need some cold resistance here, so make sure you have the Snowquill armor set on you, which you can buy in Rito Village.

When Naydra enters its glowing stage, you should attack one of its spinal spikes. This will pop up one Naydra’s Scale, which you will be able to claim.

However, if you don’t feel like riding dragons, there is another way. You can get the Naydra’s Scale by firing at the dragon with the bow and arrow from a distance.

Descend from Mount Lanaryu Skyview Tower and then align yourself with the dragon. It will be easy to follow its trajectory while gliding. Now, just shoot Naydra and wait for the scale to fall off. Now, if the scale starts falling, you will need to follow its trajectory to collect it. Luckily, your gliding skills have improved, and you won’t have problems collecting Naydra’s Scale.

Once you get this rare material, you can use it in several ways. One way to use the dragon scale is to upgrade armor sets:

  • Fierce Diety Armor
  • Tunic of the Wild

You can also use Naydra’s Scale to make various elixirs, but you wouldn’t want to throw away this precious material for a simple elixir. Though you can farm Naydra’s Scale every ten minutes in the game, it is not an easy task.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
