How to Get Nokko in Warframe Fast and Free (Deepmines Bounty Mission Guide)

He’ll grow on you

Fall is here, and with that, Vallis Undermind, the once unannounced Fall Update for Warframe, is finally upon us. Vallis Undermind also brings with it the 62nd Warframe, Nokko. This mushroom-themed Warframe is certainly one of the more unique ones to pop up, and if you still have mush-room in your inventory to fit him in (of course you do!), then here’s how to obtain Nokko fast and free.

Get Nokko from Fortuna Deepmines Bounties

Follow these steps first before you can have access to the currency needed to unlock the new Warframe.

  1. Ensure Venus and Fortuna/Orb Vallis is unlocked.
  2. Finish The New War questline.
  3. Go to Fortuna and head left as soon as you enter the map.
  4. Look for The Airlock, with a large vent as its entrance, and enter it.
  5. Talk to Nightcap and run some Deepmines Bounties.
  6. Collect mushrooms in the Deepmines Bounty maps while also finishing the objectives.

Note that there’s a chance to get Nokko blueprints in Deepmines Bounties, but it’s low so don’t count on it. You’ll need to start with the lowest tier of the Deepmines Bounties to access the higher tiers (which give more rewards). Nightcap will be the one selling Nokko’s blueprints, but you’ll need two things for it:

  • Fergolyte (currency for buying Nokko)
  • Mushrooms to analyze to rank up your Standing with Nightcap (to access blueprints)

This is why you’ll need to collect mushrooms during Deepmines Bounty missions. You’ll need three of each mushroom type to analyze, and analyzing mushrooms will increase your standing with Nightcap, which then lets you purchase Nokko blueprints from him.

Nokko Currency Requirements

Note that all of the Nokko blueprints unlock for purchase at Nightcap Standing Rank 4 (Gardener), meaning 12 mushrooms analyzed (total of 36 mushrooms to collect). For currency, you can use this as your cheat sheet for how much currency (Fergolyte) you’ll need and how many mushrooms you also need to analyze to unlock Nokko’s blueprints.

PartFergolyte Needed
Nokko Blueprint240
Nokko Chassis Blueprint160
Nokko Neuroptics Blueprint160
Nokko Systems Blueprint160

All in all, you need 720 Fergolyte, and you can get them from Deepmines Bounties as rewards (though there’s RNG involved). You can also increase your chances of getting more Fergolyte by running Deepmines Bounties in Steel Path difficulty.

For maximum efficiency in farming and speedrunning missions, I recommend running in a squad and bringing the following fast Warframes to both collect mushrooms and finish bounties more quickly:

  • Titania
  • Volt
  • Gauss
  • Nezha
  • Wukong
  • Nova

Once you have the currency and the rank, you can purchase Nokko blueprints from Nightcap. However, you will also need to craft him and wait for him to finish crafting in the Foundry before you can use him, and this usually takes 72 hours or more.
