Starfield, like previous Bethesda games, has a large amount of different content. It applies not only to quests and different planets but also to the resources you can find on them. Some of them are needed for sale, while others can repair the hull of your ship during the battle. But of course, quite a lot of resources are needed for crafting. However, not all of them are easily found. Some, such as Polymer, may seem very rare to you, but in reality, everything is much simpler. So, read on to find out how to get Polymer in Starfield.

You will need Polymer to craft various Weapon and Armor Mods in Starfield. But when you want to craft something that requires this resource, you will find that you do not have it. It is not surprising since finding it in the wild on planets is quite hard. Instead, you should visit vendors that sell crafting materials.

As you progress through Starfield, you will find many places where you can buy various items. Luckily, Polymer is sold in stores that you unlock at the beginning of your adventure:

  • Jemison Mercantile in New Atlantis.
  • UC Exchange on Mars
  • Sieghart’s Outfitters on Neon

The cost of Polymer in Starfield is different for each vendor. But on average you need to pay 19-20 Credits per one. It is also worth noting that one Polymer weighs 0.50, so be careful if you buy several at once.

What Is Polymer Used For?

As we said, you need Polymer to craft various items. To be more precise, you can craft several Mods from Polymer for your Weapons and Armor. And here is a list of everything Polymer is needed for in Starfield:

  • Muzzle – Focus Nozzle
  • Muzzle-Shock Charge Band
  • Muzzle-Suppressor
  • Muzzle – Double Barrel Muzzle
  • Grip and Stock – Stabilizing Stock
  • Magazine and Battery – Slug Shots
  • Magazine and Battery – EM Charged Shot
  • Pack Slot – Heavy Shielding
  • Spacesuit Slot – Heavy Shielding
  • Helmet Slot – Heavy Shielding
  • Spacesuit Slot – Energy Shielding
  • Helmet Slot – Energy Shielding

That’s all you need to know about how to get and use Polymer in Starfield. While this is a pretty useful resource, it can be tricky to find, so follow our tips to get it. In the meantime, please take a look at our guide on how to equip and use Grenades in Starfield.
