The new Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion, A Rift in Time, is officially out, and with it comes a whole new batch of things to collect. Eternity Isle has no shortage of new materials for players to discover, from tropical wood to pearls. One of the strangest new items in the expansion pack is the Robot Fish. Thankfully, this odd little fish isn’t very hard to catch, so long as you know where to look, and they’re a favorite of a brand-new character.
Where to Catch Robot Fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley
In order to catch a Robot Fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll need to travel to Eternity Isle. This new land came with the A Rift in Time expansion, and you can reach it by traveling through Stardust Port with the Ancient Vessel. If you’ve been to Eternity Isle before, you can also fast travel through the wells.
After you’ve arrived in Eternity Isle in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can find Robot Fish in The Docks or The Overlook. The Docks is the first biome you access in this new land, while The Overlook is locked behind a time rift when you initially arrive. Robot Fish can be found in gold/orange ripples; if you’re having a hard time finding one, have patience. If you fish in other spots, an orange ripple will spawn in eventually. Alternatively, you can also use Miracle Fishing Bait or Even More Miraculous Fishing Bait to turn all of the ripples gold for a limited time.
Once you’ve found a ripple in the right color off the shore of Eternity Isle, cast your Royal Fishing Rod. The fishing minigame needed to catch a Robot Fish is the same as in the base game – follow the button prompts to reel in your fish. Robot Fish can be eaten for 1,350 energy or sold for 625 coins, but we recommend hanging onto a couple of them for the “The Flying Metal Nuisance” quest that unlocks Eve.
