This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Even though you have your own farm in Coral Island and can grow a variety of crops, some products just can’t be grown, no matter how hard you farm. And we’re not talking about equipment but about particularly rare items. For some reason, vegetables such as Shallot cannot be grown or purchased in Coral Island. Instead, you will have to use more classical methods, namely foraging. And since this vegetable has many uses, you will have to go looking for it sooner or later.

Shallot can be a headache when you start looking for it. Traders do not sell this vegetable or its seeds. It is because Shallot only grows in the wild. But even knowing this, it will be difficult for you to get it.

In addition to the fact that this vegetable prefers freedom, it also loves warmth. That’s why Shallot grows in Coral Island only in Summer. So you only need to check a few locations on the island this season to find the rare Shallot:

  • Woodlands
  • Vineyard
  • Bath House
  • Lookout
  • Lake

Also, you can check trash cans from time to time. However, the chance that Shallot will appear there is very small. Lastly, players can receive this vegetable from Zarah, if they have achieved two or more hearts.

How To Use Shallot in Coral Island?

One Shallot is required to complete the Summer Sesajen offering. So, we recommend offering it right away to get Tomato seeds. You can also use this vegetable as a gift. Most of the characters like it, except Macy, Pablo, Scott, Raj, Leah, and Eva.

The next option is selling. Using a Mason Jar you can make Pickled Shallot from Shallot. The price of this Artisan product is 60 Coins, which is not very much. Therefore, we do not recommend that you waste vegetables on this. And, of course, Shallot is required for several dishes at Coral Island:

  • Red Curry – Any Coconut, Carrot, Hot pepper, and Shallot.
  • Fried Rice - Any Egg, any Vegetable, Shallot, and Rice.
  • Fish Sandwich – Any Fish , Lettuce, Bread, and Shallot.

That’s all you need to know about Shallot in Coral Island. It is one of the rarest vegetables that cannot be purchased or grown on a farm. But without it, you will not be able to complete the Summer Season offering. And while you’re here, please take a look at your guide on how to get Battery in Coral Island.

Coral Island is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles.
