Dragon’s Shadow, while not particularly meta, was a pretty popular Chest piece for Hunters before the dodge nerf hits the game. Thanks to the Wraithmetal Plate Perk, Guardians can run a low Mobility build but still have higher Resilience and Recovery without relying on too many Mods. Nowadays, even given chock full of Mods, the gear can barely keep up with its old performance. Still, if you want to experiment with the build again, here’s how to get the Dragon’s Shadow Exotic Hunter Chest armor in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 – How To Get the Dragon’s Shadow
“”It is my honor.” – Chalco Yong to Ikora Rey”
Like other Exotic gear in Destiny 2, the Dragon’s Shadow can be obtained from Exotic Engrams through random drops. But considering that this Chest armor is part of an extremely rare “free-to-play” loot pool drop, in order to increase your chances of getting one, you might want to try farming various Nightfall Raids, Flashpoints, and Lost Sectors at higher difficulties, such as Legendary, Master, and Grandmaster.
According to the Destiny 2 community, farming those missions has a higher chance of dropping free-to-play gears than running PvP matches or other PvE missions.
In addition to random drops, Xur may occasionally sell Exotic Engrams for 23 Legendary Shards containing the Dragon’s Shadow. To take advantage of this, you will want to start collecting Legendary Shards in preparation for the moment when the mysterious vendor brings the Exotic Hunter Chest to the table.
