The Ember Trousers in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be a useful armor piece for warmer climates. If you are fighting in the Gerudo Desert or are finding your way through the Fire Temple, these pants can give you a nice damage boost. Plus, if you care about how Link looks, they have a pretty cool fire design on the legs. Here is where to find the Ember Trousers in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Where To Find the Ember Trousers in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
To get the Ember Trousers in Tears of the Kingdom, you are going to want to head to Cephla Lake. This is in the Akkala region in the northeast portion of Hyrule. On the west side of the lake are the Kisinona Shrine and a couple of men sitting outside a cave near the coordinates: 2591, 1332, 0153. Talk to them to start the side quest, “Misko’s Cave of Chests.”
The men will say they are having trouble finding a treasure in the cave. There are a bunch of treasure chests, but almost all of them are filled with a single green Rupee. If only they had a dog’s nose to find the actual treasure.
Lucky for you, they happen to have a dog just hanging out by their tent nearby. Go near the dog and feed it some raw meat or fruit. After it has eaten four food items, the dog will begin walking into the cave. Follow it in, and don’t worry; there are no enemies in here.

Keep following the dog into Cephla Lake Cave until it eventually lays down and points at a particular chest. Using Ultrahand, pull the chest out of the ground and open it to get your new Ember Trousers. Additionally, a note in a bottle inside will give you the Misko’s Treasure: The Fierce Deity side quest to pursue the powerful Fierce Deity armor and Fierce Deity Sword. Now that you know where to find the Ember Trousers, you can go get those items.
Ember Trousers are most practical when worn in high-temperature environments while exploring Tears of the Kingdom. When the heat is extreme, a fire design will be present on the legs. Those fiery marks signify that you currently have an attack damage boost known as the Hot Weather Attack Buff.
With that in mind, we recommend using the Ember Trousers in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom in the Gerudo Desert during the day. Unfortunately, they do not have heat resistance, so you will need to drink an elixir or have other clothes to stop yourself from getting damaged by the sun.
