This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

As its name implies, My Time at Sandrock is, well, sandy. The game is set in the small town of Sandrock, which is surrounded by barren desert wastelands. In addition, the town is constantly threatened by sandstorms, which can sweep through the town and leave piles of sand in their wake. If that sand gets into your machines, they’ll break down. To keep your Builder, workshop, and machines in tip-top shape, you’ll need a way to clean out the sand. That’s when you need to craft a Feather Duster.

In order to get the Feather Duster in My Time at Sandrock, you’ll need to craft it yourself. It’s a fairly simple recipe, thankfully, requiring none of the more complex machines. To craft a Feather Duster, you’ll need to:

  1. Purchase the Feather Duster recipe

Buy the Feather Duster recipe from the Commerce Guild shop for 93 Gol.

Buy the Feather Duster recipe from Yan's shop.

  2. Craft 2 Wooden Sticks

Craft two (2) Wooden Sticks at the Worktable using three Wood each. Wooden Sticks can also be found when recycling Wooden Scrap or by defeating Rocket Roosters.

  3. Collect 5 Feathers

Collect 5 Feathers by exploring the Eufaula Desert and defeating Rocket Roosters, which have a 50% chance of dropping this item. Feathers can also be obtained by kicking trees, cacti, and Bird Nests.

    Collect 5 feathers.

  4. Collect 2 Thin Thread

Collect 2 Thin Thread by defeating Bumble Ants or Hot Honey BBQ Bumble Ants. Thin Thread can also be crafted at the Worktable using two Plant Fiber.

  5. Craft a Feather Duster

Craft a Feather Duster by combining the Wooden Sticks, Feathers, and Thin Thread at the Worktable. The Feather Duster recipe can be found under the ‘Equip’ tab.

Craft the Feather Duster and the Worktable.

After you’ve crafted the Feather Duster, make sure it’s in your Quick Bar. With the Feather Duster equipped, all you have to do in My Time at Sandrock is approach the sand covering your machines and press the correct button to use the tool. The sand will be cleared away, and your machine will be working like new.

My Time at Sandrock is now available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
