The Mythical Pecha Berry is an object shrouded in mystery, around which many rumors circulate. It is a must-have item to catch Mythical Pecharunt, so you should know how to get the Mythical Pecha Berry in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk. If you’ve been visiting shops in Kitakami before, you’ve probably seen a Pecharunt doll in the storefront, which is a direct reference to both this Pokemon and the berry.

If you’re already planning to raid Terarium or Area Zero searching for Mythical Pecha Berry, don’t rush. Unfortunately, this item is not yet available in the game. Yes, not yet, because it will be available very soon, along with Mythical Pecharunt and other Pokemon. There hasn’t been an official announcement from the developers yet, but according to information from dataminers, all the details about it were found in the game’s files.

So, Mythical Pecha Berry is a Key Item that will appear in the game on January 11, 2024. At this time, all players who have completed The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero and caught Terapagos will have access to the Mochi Mayhem event. You can start it by going to Mossui Town in Kitakami. Here, you can visit Peachy’s, a local shop. Inside, there will be a mochi on the table. If you have a Mythical Pecha Berry in your inventory while interacting with the mochi, it will start the event.

How To Obtain the Mythical Pecha Berry

There is no exact information on how to get the Mythical Pecha Berry yet, even though many rumors about Mochi Mayhem exist. Despite this, here are our guesses as to how you can get it:

  • Free reward: Along with the launch of the Mochi Mayhem event, you might get this Key Item as a gift to start your travels.
  • Raid: May be a drop, after completing one of the raids.
  • Quest Reward: May be a reward for one of the new quests.
  • Purchase: It’s unlikely, but Mythical Pecha Berry may be offered for sale in some of the shops or vending machines.

Given the item description, it is possible that Mythical Pecha Berry can be found somewhere in the world, but it will require you to go on a long and difficult journey. Here is the item description:

“It’s said that a Pecha Berry tree carefully tended by an expert gardener will produce just one of these Berries every few years.“

However, once you do have Mythical Pecha Berry in your inventory, you will eventually have the opportunity to enjoy the new content. In the special epilogue Mochi Mayhem, you will be joined by several characters to survive the adventures that will come your way. In addition, you should also expect a Pokemon from the 9th gen, Mythical Pecharunt, which will not be easy to find and catch, so get your Pokeballs ready and form the best team.
