The Revival Catalyst is a new feature introduced in the 10.0.5 Update of WoW: Dragonflight that allows players to convert their regular gear into Tier Set equipment of the same Item Level. Those familiar with the Creation Catalyst found in Zereth Mortis of Shadowlands should have a general understanding of how the Revival Catalyst’s mechanics function. The goal is to create a complete Tier Set that is better than the current non-tier equipment players are wearing. While the difference in power might seem minimal, the improvements in capabilities for each adventurer’s class can go a long way in high-end PvE content.
Unlocking the Revival Catalyst in WoW: Dragonflight
To gain access to the Revival Catalyst in WoW: Dragonflight, players must complete a quest called “Reviving the Machine.” The quest giver for this mission is Watcher Koranos, an NPC at the Seat of the Aspects in Valdrakken at the coordinates (54.6, 41.0). This introductory quest does not involve any combat but tasks participants with seeking the Revival Catalyst.
Antuka, the Revival Catalyst Steward, can be found standing next to the Catalyst at Tyrhold in Valdrakken at the coordinates (60.6, 53.8). Quest participants can speak with Antuka to complete “Reviving the Machine” and receive reward currency, along with Renascent Lifeblood, a resource used to provide a single charge for the Revival Catalyst. With these charges, the Catalyst cannot be used to convert players’ equipment to Tier Set pieces. Accordingly, to get more Renascent Lifeblood, adventurers must accept weekly quests from Antuka, who will task players with participating in group content across the Dragon Isles. LazyBeast Gaming has confirmed that the quests related to farming these charges for the Catalyst are account-wide, so players can use their alt characters if they wish.
