Scorpio is a really powerful and one-of-a-kind gun that you can get in Dying Light 2. It mainly works as a Harpoon launcher, but, try pressing the Square or X button. Suddenly, you’re using the hammer on the other end of the gun to pulverize any Infected that cross your path. The weapon itself comes with 737 damage, a Bleeding effect, and +40% bonus damage to status-afflicted enemies. This is one weapon that any self-respecting Viral Hunters should own, but how can you obtain it?

You can claim the Scorpio gun by completing the Week 1 Bounties of Dying Light 2 2nd Anniversary event, which runs for 20 days. The Week 1 Bounties are active starting from February 22nd and must be completed by March 14th. Below are the four Bounties you have to clear and you can activate them over at the Pilgrim Outpost official companion website:

  • Defeat 10 enemies with a finisher.
  • Complete the “Run Boy Run” Community Map with any medal.
  • Stay alive for 1 minute while being chased.
  • Cut 50 limbs off Infected.

In case you’re having trouble subscribing to the “Run Boy Run” Community Map, there’s a way to bypass the issue. Try logging in and logging out a few times in the Other section of the Community Maps. You should be able to open and subscribe to the custom map by doing so.

Of course, this means you need to play Dying Light 2 during the event period to unlock the Scorpio. Techland has yet to provide details to unlock the OP weapon at a later date in the event you missed the Anniversary. Nevertheless, the fanbase is predicting that the gun will be added to the in-game store a few weeks or months later. Let’s hope that is the case.
