In The Teal Mask DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Trainers can finally obtain one of the Sinnoh Starters for their party. Getting them is also quite easy; all you have to do is speak to someone and acquire the Sinnoh Starter Egg. However, you can only obtain one of them and might have to trade to complete your Starter Pokemon set. Without further ado, here’s how you can get the Sinnoh Starter Egg in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask DLC.

Where To Find the Sinnoh Starter Egg in The Teal Mask

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC The Teal Mask: Where Can You Find Sinnoh Starter Egg?

To get the Sinnoh Starter Egg, you need to speak with Jacq just outside of Mossui Town once you’ve accessed The Teal Mask DLC. He’s standing under a tree past the bridge and to the right of the red arch east of Mossui Town, towards Reveler’s Road. Greet your homeroom teacher, and he will set up a Picnic Table and hand out the Sinnoh Egg in a cutscene.

The Egg can be hatched through usual means, aka walking around with a Pokemon with Flame Body Ability in your party. In case you forgot, Flame Body will cut the steps you need to hatch a Pokemon Egg in half. But do keep in mind that the effect cannot stack with Magma Armor or Steam Engine Abilities.

The Sinnoh Starter Egg will then hatch randomly into one of Generation IV starter Pokemon:

  • Chimchar, the feisty Fire-type monkey Pokemon
  • Piplup, the wholesome Water-type penguin Pokemon
  • Turtwig, the grounded Grass-type turtle Pokemon

Interestingly, the Sinnoh Starter Egg does not count and won’t be added to your Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Pokedex entry. They also come with random Nature and EV stats. At the moment, it’s still not known if they are Shiny-locked too, or not. We will update this article once more information has been revealed by the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet community.

Since the result is random, you can only hope RNG is kind to you so that you can get the Sinnoh Starter you want in The Teal Mask. That said, stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for more news and guides on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, The Teal Mask, and other Nintendo titles.
