Draining Kiss is a Special Fairy-type Move in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet capable of replenishing 75% of the damage dealt back to the caster. For instance, the Power of this attack is 50 with 100 Accuracy, so if this Move’s user was able to deal this total amount of damage, they would receive around 37 points of HP in return. As a Fairy-type Move, Draining Kiss is exceptionally effective against Fighting-, Dragon-, and Dark-type opponents. While its damage output is lacking, its healing utility can be invaluable in battle. Gallade knows Draining Kiss by default, while a handful of commonly known Fairy-type Pokémon can learn it through leveling.
Finding and Crafting Draining Kiss TM in Scarlet & Violet
If Trainers are looking to teach Draining Kiss to other non-Fairy-type pocket monsters like Dachsbun or Pikachu, they will need the Move’s TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This TM recipe can be found in multiple locations, but the most easily accessible spot is in the town of Cortondo.
Cortondo is likely the first Paldean Gym that Trainers will visit during the Victory Road storyline. According to YouTuber GameLoc, if players investigate the backyard behind the Cortondo Gym, they will encounter a yellow Poké Ball with the Draining Kiss TM in Scarlet and Violet. Other locations where Trainers can find this Special Fairy-type Move’s TM are near a tree by the river between Area Four and Six of the South Province and near a large tree east of the Artazon (East) Pokécenter. Players can also unlock the recipe by defeating Team Star’s Dark Crew.
Once Trainers have at least one copy of the Draining Kiss TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, they will be able to craft it using the following pocket monster materials:
Material | Required Amount | Source |

Igglybuff Fluff |
