As you progress through Palia, players must collect many materials to develop their possessions and progress in the game. After all, everything from decorating your house and completing quests to improving tools requires farming various materials. Of course, you won’t have any problems getting Wood or Clay, but you can get stuck when you need Iron. This material is not rare but requires a specific tool to be mined. We are here to help you and tell you all about Iron in Palia.
Where To Find Iron in Palia
To get Iron Ore in Palia, you must travel to the Bahari Bay region and look for small and large stone deposits. Once you get some Iron Ore, you can easily smelt it into Iron in Smelter. These gray-colored stones may vary in size; some are the size of a soccer ball, and others are half or more of the player’s height. Depending on the size, you can get 2-3 Iron Ore, about the same or less regular Stones from each deposit, and even some gold. But mining Iron deposits is not so easy.
Using the Makeshift Pick obtained for free from Hodari, you won’t even be able to scratch these stones. So you must upgrade Mining to Level 3 and collect the following materials to upgrade your Pick to Standard Pickaxe.
- Makeshift Pick. In your hand.
- Sapwood Plank 20x. You can get this material by refining the logs in Basic Sawmill.
- Copper Bar 5x. To get this material, mine Copper ore in Remembrance Garden and smelting it in Smelter.
With the new Pickaxe, you can easily mine Iron with 3-6 hits on the deposit, depending on its size. But don’t forget that Pickaxe can break, and you must repair it by using Repair Kit or Repair Station (Anvil).
How To Use Iron in Palia
First, it is worth noting that Iron is one of the essential materials in Palia that you will use throughout the game. No matter how much you collect, you will probably need more. Indeed, besides the fact that you can use Iron for most of the improvements to your tools, this material helps create some decorations for your home or build new mechanisms. But before you can use it, place the Iron in the Smelter to get an Iron Bar, which you will use for all crafting.
