One of the earliest dilemmas you will face in the game is how to help Edowin in Baldur’s Gate 3 and what to do with his parasite. You will find yourself with the possibility to save someone in this game several times, but you will not always be sure how to do it. Or maybe you won’t have all the information you need to make the right decision. But the important thing, beyond how the story unfolds, is to gather information to understand who is in control and what is happening to you. Helping Edowin is one of those missions which nourish the game with content.

Where To Find Edowin in Baldur’s Gate 3?

You can find Edwin and his two followers, Brynna and Andrick, lying on the ground in the Forest west of Emerald Grove Environs location.

What To Do With Edowin’s Followers in Baldur’s Gate 3?

As expected, the game offers several options for you to decide. First, the followers doubt you when you approach them. Choose “Hold his stare” to connect with Edowin’s parasite to gain their trust. Thanks to this, the followers will hear from their brother’s mouth that you are trustworthy.

As for Edowin, there is not much hope. To help Edowin in Baldur’s Gate 3, decide what to do with Edowin’s followers. Among the options that the game offers you are the possibility of advising them to leave the place. Or the option to avenge his brother and go to fight with the Owlbear. If you choose other options, nothing relevant will happen in the game.

If you send them to fight, you must go to a cave and fight with them against the Owlbear. Or if you’re up for it, kill her yourself.

The alternative is to send them to a nearby camp, where they will be safe and have them for support if you need them.

What To Do With Edowin’s Parasite in Baldur’s Gate 3?

Once Edowin’s followers in Baldur’s Gate 3 are on their way, you must decide what to do with Edowin’s parasite.

To keep Edowin’s parasite, choose “Let your body guide you.” With this option, instead, you will obtain Edowin’s parasite as an object you can keep in your inventory or introduce it in your brain.

If you choose this second option, you will gain more power. The more parasites you have in your brain, the more unlocked abilities you will have, as shown in the picture. But it’s up to you. Do you choose to become a squid or exterminate that nasty parasite?

Finally, don’t forget to collect from Edowin’s body any relics and items he may have.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
