This guide tells you how the game’s leveling system works and how to level up past 20 in Fire Emblem Engage.

Like any good Japanese RPG, Fire Emblem Engage for Nintendo Switch follows a reasonably average level structure and progression. However, the changes are not without flaws, so you should know the system in depth to get the most out of it.

Today we talk about Fire Emblem Engage levels, overcoming a particular barrier, changing your class or increasing it to its advanced form, and more important information.

How to Level Up Past 20 in Fire Emblem Engage

You can level up each character to 20 in Fire Emblem Engage. However, there is a way to take a new leap and surpass that cap. You must change your character’s class and reach an Advanced Class.

You won’t get stuck at level 20 in Fire Emblem forever.

A unit at level 20 in an introductory class will be much weaker than one with a level 1 advanced class. To upgrade this class, you must have reached level 20 in essential and used a Master Seal. This item can be obtained by completing Detours and optional missions.

Now, your units will increase their skills and have the opportunity to level up 20 more. So what happens now? Is that the end of the game? Well, not entirely, as you can level up past 20 in Fire Emblem Engage.

To do this, you must get hold of the second seals sold in the Somniel bazaar. Now you can use them to lower your character to level 1, but if you do it within the same class, he will keep his stats and will be able to continue increasing his power.

This way, you can make already powerful units gain even more stats regarding their most outstanding points. But, of course, they will remain the same as long as you keep the same class.

Fire Emblem Engage is available on the Nintendo Switch.
