The map in LEGO Fortnite is expansive, and getting from place to place is a tedious task. Lucky for you, there are flying machines you can create that make travel a whole lot easier. Many flying machines require a ton of resources, but we found one that requires the least. Let’s get into how to make a flying machine in LEGO Fortnite.
Making a Flying Machine – LEGO Fortnite
The following is a step-by-step breakdown of exactly how to make a flying machine in LEGO Fortnite.
Step 1
The first thing you want to do is create a platform.

Once the platform has been created, lay down the flooring on the top.
Step 3
Place two fences of any material you like side by side at the center of the flooring.
Step 4
You will then need to place four small platforms on either side of the platform you created.
Step 5
On two of those platforms, you will add an additional three on top. You will need to fill out the rest of the available space with floor tiles as well as on top of the fence.
Step 6
You’ll want to add a fence piece to either side of the open areas on the platform.
Step 7
Next, you’ll then want to add more fences around the perimeter as well as two at the center of the platform.
Step 8
You will then need to create a pillar made up of a tall foundation and a short foundation, as shown in the first image above. On the side of the topmost foundation, you will need to add a thruster. Then, on the top of the entire structure, add a fencepost with an activation switch on top. You will need to destroy the bottommost foundation to get your first moving part of the flying machine.
Step 9
You will then need to do the same to the other side to have two moving parts.
Step 10
Add a floor piece to either corner of the platform, on top of the fences. Alongside those floor pieces, add more floor pieces to secure the moving parts so that they don’t move around as pictured above.
Step 11
It’s optional, but you can choose to add wheels to your flying machine.
Step 12
You will need to add a third activation switch towards the center of the platform.
Step 14
You will need to add thrusters to either side of the flying machine as well as on the back. In total, you need to have six thrusters.
Step 15
The penultimate step is to add a balloon to each corner of the machine, totaling eight balloons.
Step 16
Lastly, you need to punch out the foundation that is holding everything together.
How to Use a Flying Machine
To actually use the flying machine in LEGO Fortnite, you’ll need to use the center activation switch to turn on the thrusters. The other two switches are used to turn the flying machine. If you’d like, you can add no more than four chests on top for storage. If you do, make sure that they are placed so that the weight is evenly distributed around the whole machine. It will not fly properly if there is an odd distribution of weight.
