Two-thirds of the Amazon Fallout TV Series’ trio of protagonists and the ones responsible for showcasing two very distinct sides of the Pos-War world to Lucy after she leaves Vault-33, both the Ghoul and Maximus quickly became franchise favorites. But did you know that, although it is not possible to make 1×1 versions of the characters given their unique features, you can actually bring both of them to Fallout 4? Here’s how to make both the Ghoul and Maximus in Fallout 4, no matter if you are playing on consoles or PC.

How to Make Maximus in Fallout 4

Okay, let’s start with the hardest to make between the two. You can make Maximus in Fallout 4 by first selecting the game’s Face-01 preset. Now, remove all extras and all facial hair before changing your character’s skin to Amber —using Coffee can also work— and selecting the Short Crop hairstyle. After making the changes above, it’s time to work on the eyebrows, a feat you can do by changing them to Average and then adjusting them until they look like the ones in the image below:

Eyes

From the eyebrows, we will move to the eyes. For them, we will pick Narrow 1. Now, simply adjust them until they look like the ones in the image below. To make sure that the eyes fit your overall composition, you must continue to fine-tune the eyebrows while working on them.

Nose and Forehead

Although not identical to his, you can make a nose that closely resembles that of Aaron Moten —the actor who plays Maximus— by first selecting Handsome 2 as your nose type. After making your selection, move the nose as high as you can before adjusting its size and proportions until it looks similar to the one below. Once again, make sure to keep brushing on already worked-on portions of the face so that they will accommodate the changes.

After changing the nose, just change your forehead type to smooth and head to the next section. Once all of the above changes are made, your character will be looking like the one below.

Mouth, Jaw, Cheeks, and Chin

For the mouth, we will go with Full 1. After selecting the mouth type, raise your Maximus’s upper and lower lips and slightly lower the corners of his mouth. Once that’s done, change his Cheekbones type to Weathered and model the remaining portions of his face until they look like below.

Final Touches

After you finish with the above, it’s time to give the final touches to any portions of the face you think might need. In my case, I decided to refine the placement of the ears and work a bit more on his jawline, You can also add both a wound to his nose and change the color of his lips by heading to Extras. Once you finish, your Maximus will most likelly be done and look similar to the one below:

The Best Maximus Mod

If you don’t have the time or the patience to go through the process above, Vaultgirl2077’s VaultGirl2077 Recreations – Fallout TV Show Preset Replacer mod will allow you to add almost perfect recreations of Lucy, Maximus, and the Ghoul, while he was still known as Cooper Howard, to the game.

The mod can be accessed and installed on both consoles and PC. As another testament to its quality, we used VaultGirl2077’s nose and eye picks as guiding lights when assembling the Maximus face featured above.

How to Make the Ghoul in Fallout 4

Differently from Maximus, there’s no way to make the Ghoul in Fallout 4 without using mods, as it’s impossible to make even a lookalike variation of his nose —or lack of it. But don’t worry, as the mod you will need to install —cebiu’s Ravenped Playable Ghoul mod—is available on both consoles and PC and be accessed by heading to Mods when in the game’s main menu.

Unfortunately, because we will be using a mod to get the ghoul skin and features, we will only be able to customize the placement of his eyes, their color, and his hair style/color. As I am not a huge fan of changing the position of the eyes, unless you can also make other changes to accommodate it, I only opted to remove his hair and change his eye color to green.

I don’t recommend enabling the mod after starting the game with a customized face, as doing so will cause your character’s nose to stay present among the ghoul features.

You can play Fallout 4 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
