No one ever asked Pikachu to charge the battery to an assembly line. Forcing your Pals into harsh working conditions to manufacture the weapons and goods you need is very much a Palworld thing. Employing a dozen Tanzees to assemble bullets for you, stoking the fires of war against the Syndicate, it’s a great way to cleanse the Palpagos Islands. Unfortunately, being a cruel workmaster has terrible consequences for your Pals. If you don’t want your fuzzy friends to get sick, break something, or become depressed, there’s a solution. Here’s how to make working conditions better in Palworld.
How to Improve Palworld Working Conditions
Just because you don’t have to worry about OSHA regulations doesn’t mean Pals will fare well in bad working conditions. If your Pals are upset or angry and keep going to bed early or keep refusing to do tasks, morale is the problem. You could always just butcher them for High Quality Pal Oil and other resources, but that’s a waste. So how do you improve morale? Improve working conditions. Here are some of the best ways to do just that:
- Build beds – Pals need a good night’s sleep, so spring for more comfortable bedding
- Provide food – A hungry Pal is a grouchy Pal. Keep the foodbox well-stocked
- Cook – Pals appreciate prepared dishes more than wild berries, so get cooking
- Build hot springs – Pals get sore muscles, too! Build hot springs to help them relax
Providing food, a place to bathe, and somewhere comfy to sleep is a good start. Unfortunately, you’ll need to do more than that to keep your Pals happy. That’s because two other big problems often keep otherwise happy Pals down in the dumps: Workload and Pathing. If you want to make working conditions better in Palworld, you’ll have to tackle these eventually (unless you want every Pal looking like Depresso).
Workload and Pathing Issues
Your Pal’s workload (time spent working instead of eating, sleeping, or relaxing) has a huge impact on its happiness. One of the best ways to make working conditions better in Palworld is to give your Pal a break. Is it the only Pal at your base that’s heating your campfire? Give it a helper so both Pals get a chance to rest.
Pathfinding issues are another common culprit. Sometimes an upset Pal just won’t be able to find its way to bed or a meal. Double-check to make sure your Pal can go everywhere it needs to. Sometimes a simple game reset is enough to fix it. Now go spread some Pal cheer! That ammo isn’t going to manufacture itself.
