It is a remake of the classic Resident Evil 4, released in 2004 for the Nintendo GameCube. The game follows the protagonist Leon S. Kennedy, who is tasked with rescuing the President’s daughter Ashley Graham, who a mysterious cult kidnapped. First, however, Leon and Ashley must pass the castle gate blocking their path. This guide will tell you how to open the castle gate.

The Castle entrance is the first area of the Salazar Castle, providing players with a glimpse of what’s to come in Chapter 7. But it’s not all about the castle’s grandeur – this location also offers many unique challenges to overcome, including pesky snakes lurking around every corner.

Fortunately, players can find useful items like Shotgun Shells, a Green Herb, a Random Chicken Egg, a Spinel, and even a Gold Chest with a whopping 2500 bars inside. And if you need further assistance, the friendly Merchant is always nearby to offer his wares.

How to Open The Castle Gate in Resident Evil 4 Remake?

Resident Evil Castle Gate

You can open the castle gate in Resident Evil 4 Remake by destroying it with the giant Cannon inside the tower. Here are the steps you need to follow.

  1. Go straight and reach the top of the castle.
  2. Once you reach the top of the castle, turn right and cross the small bridge.
  3. Turn left and go through the next small bridge.
  4. Go around the Castel tower and enter the building through the large hole. You will see a giant cannon inside this room. You can use this canon to open the castle gate in Resident Evil 4 Remake.
  5. Break the weighted metal to get the Cannon to the top of the tower.
  6. Take the exit on the other side of the room and climb the ladder on the veranda.
  7. Go straight and turn right once you pass the burning woods. Go around the tower and see a wooden locked door to the right.
  8. Open the wooden door and reach the Cannon.
  9. Shoot at caterpillars on the castle tops.
  10. Then, shoot the castle gate. After a few shots, the gate will be destroyed, and you can now pass through.
