They are quite useful.

Nightingale is so much more fun when you have a party full of other Realmwalkers to hang out with. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean they have to be friends in a co-op server. You can simply recruit Survivors. As far as I’ve seen, there’s often one or two Survivors chilling somewhere in a Realm. Typically, you can find them near the sight of power where you unlock the Antiquarian Card. However, you won’t be able to just walk up and recruit them. You’ll have to put a bit of work in first.

Typically, you can find a Survivor anywhere you can find a Site of Power. Sites of Power are the big structures that can be cleared to unlock the Antiquarian Card after you defeat a boss. Oftentimes, you’ll need the Survivor’s help to get through the Site anyway, given the large volume of enemies that spawn within them.

The Survivor is found outside the Site of Power, along with someone who will give you a quest to help the Survivor, and an Essence Trader.

When you arrive at the Sit of Power and speak with the Survivors surrounding it, you’ll learn that one of the Survivors could use some help setting up camp. This just means that you’ll need to gather the resources necessary to set up a small base for them. For me, I only needed to craft a Campfire and three Bedrolls.

After everything has been crafted, you will gain access to the Magic Chest nearby and the ability to recruit one of the Survivors. You only need to approach the Survivor, then speak with them, and select the Recruit button. Now you’ll be able to give them items, manage their inventory, and bring them along with you wherever you go.

Nightingale is now available on PC.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
