Do you need to fly up a zip-line on BD-1 in Star Wars Jedi Survivor? Are you looking to traverse more of the map with ease? Remember back in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order when you could use the zipline because BD-1 needed to be upgraded? Zip-lines were a common traversal method in the original game and still are in Jedi Survivor. Most of the time, when you want to go from point A to point B, you will be gliding across one of these lines. This guide will show you how to ride up zip-lines in Star Wars Jedi Survivor.
How To Unlock Zip-Lines in Star Wars Jedi Survivor
Jedi Survivor is a sequel, so much of what you did in the first game still applies to the second. Most of the upgrades you got, skills you unlocked, and lightsaber stances you used are available from the start of the game. During Jedi Fallen Order, Cal unlocked the ability for BD-1 to ride up zip-lines. This is one of the many abilities carried over to Jedi Survivor, and it becomes unlocked as soon as you reach the first zip-line that appears shortly after running into Bode. In fact, you will need Bode’s help to create the first zip-line in the game. Afterward, you will immediately be able to use it.

As stated above, you will come across your first zip-line in the game shortly after meeting up with Bode during the Coruscant portion of the game. This is the beginning section of the game, so it should only take 15 to 20 minutes to reach it. Have BD-1 interact with the zip-line mechanism, which will launch the zip-line to a nearby build. Notice that the first zin-line in the game is actually going up, meaning you can ride up the zip-line immediately without needing any special upgrades for BD-1. All you need to do is jump at the zip-line, and Cal will automatically ride it. There are bound to be more zip-lines in the game that require you to go up and down. You may even need them to solve puzzles like in the previous game.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
