If you have been able to disarm Raphael’s painting and get the Orphic Hammer, you probably want to know how to save Hope in Baldur’s Gate 3. She is a powerful ally to have in the fight against Raphael. You have little time before Raphael arrives in the House of Hope, and you’d better make the most of it. Keep reading this guide to take the right path and know what you will face.

How to Rescue Hope in Baldur’s Gate 3

When you enter the House of Hope; Hope’s soul will immediately intercept you and ask you for a favor. Hope needs help to escape from the prison where Raphael is holding her. 

First, you must progress through the quest How To Complete House of Hope in Baldur’s Gate 3 to be able to open the prison hatch, represented by an intense golden color that leads to the prison where Hope is.

Once you have the Orphic Hammer, you must go to prison. To get there, you must go to the east side of the House of Hope in BG3. But it won’t be that easy. Before you go to save Hope in Baldur’s Gate 3, you will have to defeat the Flaming spheres and imps who’ll engage you in battle at every turn.

Once you enter the prison, you will see Hope in front of you. You must break her chains with the Orphic Hammer to rescue her. There are many imps and two Spectators in the area, so be ready for battle.

To free Hope in Baldur’s Gate 3, follow the steps below:

  1. Equip the most mobile member of the party with the Orphic Hammer. This is important, as this is a turn-based game. You need to be as mobile as possible. 
  2. Jump on the rocks to your left and break the giant red gem with the Orphic Hammer.
  3. Climb down the rocks while the fight breaks out and climb up the right side to the next red gem; once there, break it.

With both gems broken, Hope will be free in Baldur’s Gate 3. Before you can get out of there, you’ll have to clear the way. You can face them or try dodging them to escape prison. Once you help Hope escape, she will be part of your team when it’s your turn to face Raphael. Hope has several amazing healing abilities and can even use Divine Intervention to kill all foes or revive all fallen allies at the cost of her own life.
