Tomb Raider I-III Remastered is here for those who want to see how Lara Croft was hunting for sports back in 1996. The game features the exact old-school visuals and the modern remastered version while also allowing players to take fantastic screenshots with the Photo Mode. However, the best thing about Tomb Raider I-III Remastered is probably the save and load option; the way that all OG players would appreciate the simple change.

You can save your game anytime you want in Tomb Raider I-III Remastered in all three games. All you need to do is to pause the game and choose save. The same goes for loading a certain save slot, by clicking the load option in the pause menu. If you’re playing the PC version of the game, pressing F5 will save the game automatically, while the F9 shortcut loads your recent save file.
This scenario is pretty much different from what some players might remember from two decades ago. In the original Tomb Raider trilogy games – except for Tomb Raider 2 – you had to use Save Crystals to reserve your game’s status for later loading. In Tomb Raider 1, these crystals were in specific locations, and in Tomb Raider 3, you had to find Save Crystals as collectibles! This was way harder to save your game back in the day.
In Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, however, the save and load options are much easier to use at any time you will. But remember, when you open the options menu, the load button is always on top, and save comes second. So, if you misclick that, you might just load your previous save instead of reserving your game. Besides that, you’re good to go for a hunt with Lara in the remastered version of old Tomb Raider games.
