Enshrouded is designed to be played with your friends. Exploring Embervale with others makes it a little easier to stay alive among the world’s natural landscape and the monsters that inhabit it. You’re able to set up a private server for yourself or even a public server with up to 16 friends. We broke down how to set up a server in Enshrouded for the next time you want to jump in with your friends.
How To Set Up A Server in Enshrouded
To join your own server on a different PC, follow these instructions:
- Install the Enshrouded Dedicated Server in Steam’s Tools section of your Library.
- In Steam, go to the Enshrouded Dedicated Server Tool’s properties and access the files.
- Open the tool and then close it out.
- Once closed, use Notepad to open the new enshrouded_server.json file in the tool’s files.
- Here, you can adjust the server’s name and other attributes.
- Once you’re done, you can close the file and open the Dedicated Server tool again.
You can also rent a server via a third party like GPortal. This does cost money, but you can have a number of slots for different servers.
