It is a very dangerous boss, that players can summon on any difficulty except Peaceful. It is dangerous because it shoots skulls that explode everything around. Moreover, the Wither is aggressive towards all players and mobs except for the undead ones. And for defeating it, you can get the Nether Star needed to craft the Beacon.
So, to summon the Wither in Minecraft, you must place 4 Soul Soil or Soul Sand in a T shape and place 3 Wither Skeleton Skulls on top. And there must not be other blocks under the top two blocks, otherwise, the summon will not work. Sounds pretty simple, right? But getting all these resources can take a lot of time:
- Soul Soil/Soul Sand – You can find these blocks almost everywhere in the Nether. Soul Sand can also spawn in Ancient Cities.
- Wither Skeleton Skulls – These skulls can only be obtained by killing the Wither Skeleton that spawns in the Nether Fortresses. However, the drop chance without enchantments is only 2.5%.

And after you collect all the necessary resources, you can summon the Wither. However, it is worth noting that when spawning, the boss explodes all the blocks around it. Therefore, we do not recommend spawning it near your base.
