The best way to sustain your settlement and get resources you don’t have in Manor Lords is to trade. By trading, you can earn Regional Wealth, which you can use to buy other resources or convert them into Treasury. However, the logic of trading in Manor Lords can be a bit difficult to grasp at first, so this guide will help you gain some great insights into trading that you may not have known before. You will also learn how to change your trade rules in Manor Lords if they are set to “No Trade.”

In order to trade in Manor Lords, you first need to build the Trading Post facility. Then the family working there will sell or buy the resources of your choice by going to the nearest blue Tradepoints on the edges of the map. First of all, click on the hammer icon at the bottom (Construction) or press the “C” key.

Then, in the Trade section, you will see the Trading Post building. You can place this building in any suitable area you want. Assign a family to the building by clicking on the Trading Post. Head to the Trade tab from the Trading Post and find the resource you want to buy or sell in Manor Lords.

Just to the left of this resource, you will see “No Trade.” Click on it and select “Import” if you want to buy or “Export” to sell and set a quantity. Then, the family you have assigned will periodically handle the trade.

If you want your trade to be faster and you don’t want your villagers to travel unnecessarily long in Manor Lords, you should create a new shortcut from the Trading Post to the Tradepoints. After a while, your trading villagers will start taking this shortcut.

Otherwise, if there is a resource that you are constantly trading, it makes sense to choose the “Establish A Trade Route” option for 25 Regional Wealth. With this option, villagers can trade faster and more regularly by using horse-drawn carts.

In Manor Lords, your villagers act according to the trade rules you set. If you see “No Trade” on the left side of a resource you want to sell or buy, you are not currently trading that item. In order to trade it, you need to click on “No Trade” and select “Export,” “Import,” or “Full Trade.” Export allows you to sell resources, Import will enable you to buy, and Full Trade allows you to do both.
