During the second phase of Version 1.3 Honkai Star Rail, March 7th’s companion mission was unlocked. This type of mission allows players to interact with characters and discover more of each one’s story. This occurs after saving The Xianzhou Luofu from the threat of Phantylia the Undying, where March 7th still intends to learn about her past. With the help of Fu Xuan, March 7th believes she will be able to discover her past life. Honkai Star Rail: How to Unlock Total Recall
To start this companion mission, players need to be at least Trailblaze Level 34. They must also complete Trailblaze Missions: Obsequies Performed and A Long Road Ahead. If you meet all these requirements, when you start Honkai Star Rail, March 7th will message you, triggering her companion story. Reply to her messages, and you’ll unlock March 7th’s companion mission in Honkai Star Rail titled Total Recall.
Total Recall Quest Guide
In this quest, you can relive several memories that belong to March 7th, which include the missions you have experienced so far in the game. Those with good memory won’t have difficulty completing this quest as it deals with many flashbacks from your previous adventures with this perky companion.
You must go to the Divination Commission to talk to Fu Xuan.
Fu Xuan will ask you to go to the Matrix of Prescience, and there, she will ask for items to revive March 7th’s memories.
Fu Xuan will ask March 7th to step into the Matrix of Prescience to see her memories. This will trigger an Exploratory Excursion Domain.
The Matrix of Prescience will “teleport” you to another part of Xianzhou Luofu. Then, Fu Xuan will ask you to observe the memory and find the surreal part of the memory that does not fit. First, you must choose which Fu Xuan is fake; for this, select “Fu Xuan With Hand on Hip.”This will trigger a battle.
After the battle, you will need to interact with your surroundings to find the surreal in the memory again. This time, it will be Jing Yuan. After selecting him, there will be another fight.
At the end of the battle, a Belobog’s heater will appear, and you must interact with it to see older memories.
In this new memory, the surreal thing is the presence of Seele. As soon as you clear the distortion, enemies will appear again.
As soon as you finish with the enemies, a monitor will appear over the reception of the Goethe Hotel.
Like before, you will be at another location, Herta Space Station. Dan Heng will appear for you to follow him to one of the parts of the Space Station’s museum. Inside, you should look for the new abnormality, which will be the Trailblazer, and when interacting, it will also start a fight.
In the next room, the abnormality will be the Messenger of the Garden of Recollection, with whom you must fight.
This time, you will appear in the Astral Express, where Fu Xuan will ask you to go to March 7th’s room. But when you try to approach it, memories of March 7th’s arrival on the train will appear. When you try to reach the room, you will be teleported to the starting point.
To break the loop, you need to go to the back door that should take you to the Parlor Car but instead will take you to March 7th’s room.
Inside March 7th’s room, you must touch a piece of floating ice that will take you to a new space where you can talk to the Messenger. The Messenger will try to persuade March 7th, but she will return to the real world when she is about to discover the truth. The mission will end once you finish the conversation with Fu Xuan.
Total Recall is a bittersweet companion mission in Honkai Star Rail, which is the opposite of March 7th; still, it’s well worth playing. Your reward for beating this quest is a good chunk of lore and Fu Xuan as a visitor for the Astral Express, so that’s the silver lining.
