Chun-Li’s retro costume is in Street Fighter 6, but you must learn how to unlock it. Chun-Li wears brand new clothing in Street Fighter 6, sporting a more elegant outfit that matches her more graceful taste. Many gamers like Chun-Li’s new costume, but her original clothes were iconic. Chun-Li’s classic outfit returns in Street Fighter 6 as her Outfit 2 in the game. Al playable characters in the game have two outfit options, with the classic characters getting their most recognizable costumes as their Outfit 2.

There are two methods to unlock every character’s Outfit 2 in Street Fighter 6. You can unlock a character’s second costume by spending real-world money or maximizing their friendship level.

Street Fighter 6 has a currency called Fighters Coins that you can buy with real-world money. You need 50 Fighter Coins to purchase Chun-Li’s Outfit 2 based on her retro costume from Street Fighter II. For reference, 250 Fighter Coins cost USD 4.99 on the PSN store.

If you don’t have the budget to afford Fighter Coins, maximizing your friendship with Chun-Li is your only other way to get her retro costume. The only way to raise friendship levels in Street Fighter 6’s is in World Tour mode. World Tour mode has you create your player avatar and trek across the Street Fighter world. You meet multiple iconic Street Fighter characters and learn their fighting techniques.

The more experience you gain from learning Chun-Li’s fighting style, Chun-Li’s friendship missions will begin unlocking. Completing Chun-li’s friendship missions will raise your friendship level with her. Your friendship meter maximizes at 100 points.

You can also raise your friendship meter with Chun-Li by giving her a gift she loves. Chun-Li’s favorite gift is Canned Herring, which you can buy at the store on Old Nayshall Commerce Plaza.

Handing Chun-Li her favorite gift will reward you with five friendship points and a special scene with her. Once you’ve maxed out her friendship, Chun-Li’s classic qipao Outfit 2 unlocks in Street Fighter 6.

Chun-Li is an Interpol officer from China in the world of Street Fighter. She has a lifelong vendetta against M. Bison, leader of the crime syndication known as Shadaloo. She was the first playable female character in the series, originating in the initial roster for Street Fighter II. Chun-Li is famous for her leg-based attacks, including spinning and lightning kicks. Furthermore, the character’s blue qipao, puffy shoulders, spiked bracelets, and tights are some of the most iconic imagery in gaming.
