Niantic is partnering with Amazon Prime Gaming to offer gamers early access to the Greavard Wig in Pokemon Go. This partnership is themed around Halloween, with spooky Pokemon spawning as part of the new Partner Research for Prime Gaming. The Research is only available for a limited time, but completing it will give you access to the Greavard Wig before it hits the game’s store. Finishing the Research mission will also reward you with special encounters, XP, and Stardust. Log in to your Amazon Prime account to take advantage of this Partner Research.

Once you have become a Prime member, head over to the Greavard Wig Partner Research page on Prime Gaming. Click on the Get in-game content to accept the Prime Graming exclusive Partner Research. You must successfully finish the research tasks before December 25 at 8 PM PT, or else you will miss out on all the rewards.

How To Get Greavard Wig in Pokemon Go

Timed Research in Pokemon Go typically requires you to complete a list of tasks. Completing these tasks will earn you the Greavard Wig. The item is a headpiece you can give your avatar to wear. It’s based on the candle dog Pokemon Greavard and has a candle on top.

These tasks usually revolve around capturing the Pokemon associated with the Research. For example, for the Prime Gaming Partner Research, Galarian Yamask and Golett become more common in the wild after you claim the research mission. The research tasks will request you to capture a certain amount of these Pokemon.

The list of Pokemon as part of the Partner Research is below:

  • Kacleon
  • Galarian Yamask
  • Golett
  • Oricorio (Sensu Style)

Ironically, Greavard isn’t one of the Pokemon tied to the Prime Gaming Partner Research mission. Every Pokemon involved with the research mission has an increased odds of spawning shiny than normal gameplay.

Other potential research tasks include hatching eggs, walking certain distances, collecting candy, or finding Pokestops. Completing the research tasks will also reward you extra XP and Stardust.

If you wish to not subscribe to Amazon Prime, you can simply wait for the wig to show up in the game’s store. The Partner Research only gives players early access to the Greavard Wig. The item isn’t exclusive to Prime Gaming and will eventually be available for all players at a later date.

Pokemon Go is available on Android and iOS.
