Star Wars Jedi Survivor is about to release on April 28, 2023, and it comes with a lot of new content and game mechanics compared to the previous Star Wars game. The Perk System of Star Wars Jedi Survivor is a new game mechanic added to the game. However, many players still don’t know how to unlock the perks in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. Therefore, here is a guide to help you unlock perks in Star Wars Jedi Survivor.
What Are the Perks?
The previous game Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order had only a skill upgrade system in which you had to level up Cal’s skills through the skill tree. Instead, it unlocks different abilities and boosts that help Cal to progress in the game. There are 25 Perks in Jedi Survivor.
However, Star Wars Jedi Survivor introduces a much more detailed Perk system that you can unlock perks as you explore the world. The game has three main perks categories and a total of nine. You will get one perk under the Survival, five under the Lightsaber, and three under the Force. And each perk has a different skill tree making it a much more comprehensive range of power-ups for Cal than the previous game. The perks include bonuses to different stats, such as force regeneration, blocking stamina, and speed.
As you play through the game’s main storyline, you will unlock multiple perk slots in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. It allows you to add more than one perk to your character. However, some powerful perks will need more than one slot, and some may even need all three. So, you need to decide the best perks for you.
How to Get All Perk Slots
Perks alter your abilities, life, and Force, but you can only have a certain number allocated at any one time. To gain more, you need to unlock more Perk Slots. There are 6 Perk Slots in the game in addition to your first, which you can unlock by completing Jedi Chambers. These can be found in the following areas:
-
- Jedha > Path of Restoration
- Jedha > Path of Persistence
- Jedha > Path of Conviction
- Koboh > Derelict Dam
- Koboh > Harvest Ridge
- Koboh > Smuggler’s Tunnel

How To Get More Perks in Star Wars Jedi Survivor
There are several ways to get perks in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. This includes finding them throughout the planet, and some might be given after a particular boss fight. Also, you might receive some perks after solving puzzles.
Perk Re-Roll System Explained
One of the great features of the perk system is that you can remove the abilities you have unlocked and get back your spent skill points. Then, you can reallocate those skill points to any other perk. So, for example, if you have upgraded your Dual-Wielding stance and spent a lot of skill points on it, you still unlock the Blaster Stance, remove the dual-wielding one, and then spend skill points on the Blaster Stance. This gives players plenty of freedom and can correct any early-game mistakes. It’s essentially a re-roll feature.
What Are the Best Perks
Some of the best perks currently at the game are Shatter, Wisdom, and Resilience. Shatter gives Carl more strength to break the guard of enemies, while Resilience will allow him to absorb more melee hits from the enemy. Wisdom, on the other hand, increases your XP gains from any enemy kills. These are some of the best perks you can obtain at the early stage of the Star Wars Jedi Survivor and have an edge in the battle.
So, use the perk system to your advantage and make Cal more potent with each playthrough. It should prove a boon for those who love to try out different strategies, given the perk system of Star Wars Jedi Survivor allows for much creativity and experimentation.
