Unlocking the mines with the Preparing for the Mines quest in Fae Farm is one of the more essential things you will do in-game. It will give you access to thousands of stones, clay, and other resources and allow you to collect the ores required for upgrading your tools and crafting more items. Upgrading your tools will enable you to work much more efficiently, making it very much worth it to unlock the mines in Fae Farm. How To Get the Saltwater Mines Key in Fae Farm
Before heading into the Saltwater mines, you must obtain the key. Until now, the mines have been locked up to protect the townsfolk on Azoria, but it’s time to open again.
Once you reach Chapter Three, Eddy will eventually tell you that he knows where the Whirlpool’s source is. Eddy will quickly send you to Cleo, who has the key to the Saltwater Mines.
Cleo will need you to complete a quest to obtain the key that unlocks the mines in Fae Farm. The quest you must complete is called Preparing for the Mines.
How To Complete Preparing for the Mines Quest
You must complete a few steps to complete the Preparing for the Mines and unlock the Saltwater Mines in Fae Farm.
- Prepare and collect some food for the mines.
- Purchase a potion from Vera, the town healer.
First, let’s talk about the first goal for this quest. At the beginning of Chapter One, you learned how to cook food and build a cooking campfire at your homestead. The best way to get food quickly is to cook already-grown plants from your farm or pick up some mussels at the beach and fry them. We chose to cook mussels for this quest since they are so easy to obtain.
How To Prepare and Collect Some Food for the Mines in Fae Farm
Head down to the beach and pick up at least five mussels. Bring them back to your homestead and interact with the campfire to cook all five of them up. Once they have finished cooking, collect them all and get ready to find Vera.
Where To Find Vera in Fae Farm
You can find Vera at her vendor stall in East Town, on the area’s West side. While Vera sells many different portions, we want to collect a Small Potion of Healing. It will cost 50 Gold Florins, but we suggest purchasing a few of them so you will be safe in the Saltwater Mines.
Once you’ve collected the required items, return to Cleo and obtain the Saltwater Mines Key, which unlocks the mines in Fae Farm.
